Suggested Activities for Use of Task Cards:
This set of math task cards can be used for learning stations, scoot, games, or for a scavenger hunt. They are aligned to the Common Core State Standards.
As a scavenger hunt, you only use one set of cards at a time. You place the cards around the room and working with a partner (or by themselves) students roam around the room answering the questions. They don't need to be done in order, just make sure the kids number the problems correctly on a sheet of paper and record answers in the appropriate places. Most of the time my kids are strategically partnered, but sometimes I let them choose their own partners.
The set has Common Core aligned math task cards that vary in complexity and skill. They will benefit third graders that need challenging math problems, fourth graders (since they are aligned to a fourth grade standard), and provide remediation for fifth graders.
