This Learn & Color Scoot game will get your kids up and moving (YES!) while reviewing counting to 120. But, what makes this set even more fun is that the kids get to color safari pictures as they go - great to keep the kids engaged and give their brains a break!
Scoot! is a fun activity where students travel from station to station or desk to desk to solve problems.
Give each student a two-sided recording sheet. Students will start at their own desks (or an assigned spot) and answer the problem on their task card, writing the answer in the corresponding box on the recording sheet. When students are finished, the teacher will say, “Scoot!” and students will move onto the next desk or station. They will continue to answer problems and move about the room until they get back to their own starting point. There are 32 cards in the set, but you can remove cards to make the game shorter. This set is in color, but the high quality images look beautiful in grayscale as well!
Other ways to use these task cards:
-Use for independent work in a math center
-Use as an early finisher station
-Put the kids in groups and rotate 2/3 cards at a time for a no movement option
-Project the cards with a document camera for whole class review
-Use for Kagan cooperative learning structures
Most importantly - HAVE FUN!
