Do your kids need some extra practice with fractions? Are they tired of worksheets? Then Exercise Scoot is just what you need!
Scoot! is a fun activity where students will travel from station to station or desk to desk to solve problems. It is a great activity to get students up and moving, while still practicing on academic skills.
Give each student a recording sheet. Students will start at their own desks (or an assigned spot) and answer the problem on their task card, writing the answer in the corresponding box on the record sheet. When students are finished, the teacher will say, “Scoot!” and students will move onto the next desk or station.
They will continue to answer problems and move about the room until they get back to their own starting point.
In this version of Scoot! The kids look at the fraction and name it. It covers ½, ¼, 1/3 and 1 whole. It also includes non-examples.
There are 18 cards in the set. Depending on the number of kids in your class, you may need to put 2 kids at a station. You can also remove cards to make the game shorter.
You can buy this in a set with 2 other fraction games here:
