Suggested Activities for Use of Task Cards:
This set of math task cards can be used for centers, scoot, games, or for a scavenger hunt.
As a scavenger hunt, you only use one set of cards at a time. You place the cards around the room and working with a partner (or by themselves) students roam around the room answering the questions.
They don't need to be done in order, just make sure the kids number the problems correctly on a sheet of paper and record answers in the appropriate places. Most of the time my kids are strategically partnered, but sometimes I let them choose their own partners.
To differentiate, some problems may be labeled H.O.T. (stands for higher ordered thinking). Also, if I have them use one recording sheet, I tell them to use two different colored pencils. This increases individual accountability.
The set has Common Core aligned math task cards that vary in complexity and skill.
