Product Description
Make multiplying fractions in a word problem format a festive activity this holiday season! This is an updated version with double the word problems. Use these printable math task cards at independent centers, as an Interwrite/Smartboard assessment activity, or in small groups to focus instruction on these concepts:
* Multiplying fractions with whole numbers
* Multiplying fractions with fractions
* Multiplying mixed fractions
* Modeling fraction problems with a picture/diagram
These word problems are aligned with Common Core standards 4.NF.B.4b,c and 5.NF.B.6. Since there are questions that go above and beyond multiplying a fraction by a whole number, these cards can be differentiated for fourth grade as some are designed to challenge your higher math students. I've also used these cards to review with my sixth graders and they'd be a great review for seventh graders as well.
It is best to print this product in landscape orientation, if your printer does not default to this option.
