Included in this test prep:

• Test 1 (18 questions; suggested time is 55 minutes; calculators allowed + 1 constructed response performance task)
• Constructed response tasks are one extended problem with multiple parts. In this scenario, students are required to think critically in order to solve a series word problems like those found on state assessments.

• Test 2 (20 questions; suggested time is 40 minutes; NO calculators allowed)

• Test 3 (23 questions; suggested time is 40 minutes; calculators allowed)

• This set of performance tasks includes 7 pages of different multi-step addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems as well as asks students to write equations using variables that will help them solve problems.
• All performance tasks are available as full page student worksheets, half page student worksheets (great for interactive notebooks), and include answer keys.

This packet contains 49 total questions and is broken into the following five sections which makes it perfect for reteaching topics before testing:

1. Mathematical Processes (9 questions)

• Solve problems involving elapsed time.
• Match the spoken, written, concrete, and pictorial representations of fractions with denominators up to ten.
• Represent problems mathematically using diagrams, numbers, and symbolic expressions.
• Select appropriate units and tools to solve problems involving measures.

2. Numbers and Operations (16 questions)

• Identify the place value of numbers in the ten-thousands, thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones positions.
• Identify various representations of multiplication and division.
• Recall basic multiplication facts through 10 times 10 and the related division facts.
• Compute multiplication problems that involve multiples of ten using basic number facts.
• Solve problems that involve the inverse relationship between multiplication and division.
• Solve contextual problems involving the addition (with and without regrouping) and subtraction (with and without regrouping) of two- and three-digit whole numbers.
• Identify equivalent fractions given by various representations.
• Recognize and use different interpretations of fractions.
• Name fractions in various contexts that are less than, equal to, or greater than one.
• Recognize, compare, and order fractions (benchmark fractions, common numerators, or common denominators).

3. Algebra (6 questions)

• Verify a conclusion using algebraic properties.
• Express mathematical relationships using number sentences/equations.
• Find the missing values in simple multiplication and division equations.

4. Geometry and Measurement (10 questions)

• Recognize polygons and be able to identify examples based on geometric definitions.
• Calculate the perimeter of shapes made from polygons.
• Choose reasonable units of measure, estimate common measurements using benchmarks, and use appropriate tools to make measurements.
• Measure length to the nearest centimeter or half inch.

5. Data Analysis, Statistics, and Probability (8 questions)

• Interpret a frequency table, bar graph, pictograph, or line plot.
• Solve problems in which data is represented in tables or graphs.

Recognize area as additive. Find areas of rectilinear figures by decomposing them into non-overlapping rectangles and adding the areas of the non-overlapping parts, applying this technique to solve real world problems.
Use tiling to show in a concrete case that the area of a rectangle with whole-number side lengths π’ and π£ + π€ is the sum of π’ Γ π£ and π’ Γ π€. Use area models to represent the distributive property in mathematical reasoning.
Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. For example, partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as 1/4 of the area of the shape.
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
Compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.
