In this activity, students will work in groups to design theme parks. They will have a budget and will have to choose the types of attractions and public places they want and calculate to ensure they are within the budget. This will require extensive multiplication and addition of larger numbers. Once they have ensured they have enough money to 'purchase' the attractions and public places, they need to ensure they have enough 'space' in their parks. This will require strong knowledge of area and spatial awareness. As the park is designed, each member of the group has a different role. One of those roles requires students to practice statistics and data.
