Tic-Tac-Toe Boards are choice activities that students complete in their spare time (ex. when they are finished with their work, at home, etc.) during a particular math unit.
Students choose the activities they want to complete on the Tic-Tac-Toe boards. Once they complete three activities in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal), they have a Tic-Tac-Toe.
These Tic-Tac-Toe boards support 4th grade math standards but could easily be modified to support other grade levels:
o Multiplication (4.NBT.5)
o Division (4.NBT.6)
o Measurement (4.MD.1 & 4.MD.2)
o Fractions (4.NF.1, 4.NF.2, 4.NF.3, & 4.NF.4)
