I made these math tubs to be used with decks of cards that I bought from the dollar tree. Sweet! They are cheap and easy to prepare and use. The only color copies would be for the cover sheets should you choose to use them, and the only manipulatives needed are cards that you can get for 2 packs for $1.00. I used them to review of some of the skills we have been learning in first grade. There are six activities all with cover sheets and directions. Included are centers for:
place value (tens/ones and expanded notation)
counting on addition
certain or impossible (probability)
parts of a set (fractions)
They would be good for first grade or as a beginning of the year activity for 2nd grade. They could even printed, laminated, and sent home with kids to use at home over the summer with their own cards. Check out the preview to get an idea of what's included.
