The Math Vocabulary Journal Pages were created to aid teachers and students in applying and internalizing math vocabulary terms. Once a vocabulary term has been taught and applied, students may complete the coordinating vocabulary page. This resource is the perfect opportunity for students to “own” their learning and record their knowledge for deeper understanding.
1.Create a Math Journal by copying all terms front to back. The journal then becomes a reference and/or study guide.
2.Use as an “Exit Ticket“ at the end of the day/week
3.Bulletin board display of what is being studied in Math.
Each page includes:
• one vocabulary term
• an area for a student written definition
• two boxes for students to model the term,
• writing lines for students to describe how the math term works in their own words
•one master page without a term
* The vocabulary terms follow a well known math program, but may be used with any and all programs.
Please check out my writing journals as well!
