Engage your students with exciting bits of history as they are challenged with various math tasks for the month of March. Each task card includes a historical fact that occurred during the month as well as one or two math problems related to the fact.

For example: (March 1961)
By executive order, President John F Kennedy established the Peace Corps. This organization allows volunteers to live in other countries providing assistance and working along side the citizens to better understand each culture.

In addition, these cards address multiple 3rd Grade Math Common Core standards and are written in a format that is based on the STAAR test (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness.

They returned at 1:30 P.M. and left for their hotel at 4:15 P.M. What is the total amount of time they spent at the dam?
