I hope you will find these Math Word wall word cards as useful as I do! When we do Daily 3 Math, the students are able to refer to the word wall words during Math By Myself and Math Writing time. These word wall cards can be introduced one at a time, as you cover various topics, or you can have them all, already on the bulletin board early in the year, and refer to them individually as needed. Students will quickly learn to refer to the colourful visuals included on each card to help them remember the correct terms.
There are a total of 40 cards, including the following math terms:
How many?, tally marks, ten frame, number line, hundred, ten, one, count by 2’s, count by 5’s, count by 10’s, hundred chart, balance scale, pattern blocks, equal, 3D shapes, 2D shapes, less than, greater than, how many left, how many in all, addition is plus, subtraction is minus, count on, odd numbers, even numbers, graph, rectangular prism, triangular prism, cone, cylinder, sphere, cube, circle, square, rectangle, triangle, vertices, edges, base ten blocks, and pattern.
Simply photocopy onto cardstock, laminate and you’re ready to go! Just remember to set your printer for landscape! These word cards cover the most frequently used terms needed for Kindergarten to Grade 2. They align with the Saskatchewan curriculum.
