This collection of hands-on math work mats allows students to grasp concepts using manipulatives and concrete materials. This is a fantastic resource for guided math!
In small groups or as a whole class, students can use unifix cubes, base ten blocks, counters, erasable markers, stones, seeds, buttons, shapes, number cards, and more to make the math curriculum come alive.
This collection includes 40 mats (20 Black and white, 20 in colour) ranging from number decomposition, number bonds, and house of math facts to odd/even numbers, 2D/3D shapes, and U.S. & Canadian coin sorting.
How to use:
1) Select the pages that you would like to use in your classroom. Be sure to carefully go through your selection and to not to print multiple versions of the same math mat by accident.
2) You can print copies for the whole class, or 5-6 copies for your guided math lessons or other math centres. I recommend that you either print the coloured versions or print on coloured cardstock to really keep your students visually engaged. Cardstock also helps with durability.
3) You can choose to laminate them, put them all into ready to go sheet protectors, or slip them into write and wipe pockets (write on wipe of pouches) prior to your lessons.
