This set is certain to be one of my personal favorites! Cute piggy manipulatives or piggy tub toys could make this center lots of fun, but the printable piggy cards will work just as well.
Students will learn:
*counting and making groups to ten or twenty
* matching numbers to number words
* writing and recognizing numbers and number words to twenty
* to working systematically through each number in a piggy journal
As an added bonus, there are full size instructional posters to use as you introduce each number. These can be added to your wall display as an easy reference until the complete set is up. Posters include ten frames showing the group count that matches each number.
To make this set even more versatile, I purchased a round brown shag rug to use as the puddle. The rug also doubles as an alternative seating area for other work!
This set will work well with any classroom, but works very well with a farm themed classroom.
