Math IS fun! This is a 2-page printable poster (becomes one 11 x 17 poster) engages students in reflecting about their mathematics knowledge and experiences. Add some color, and this makes a great hallway display for open houses and parent conferences.
Students are asked to:
-Draw a picture of a mathematician. (These are usually pretty hilarious.)
-Share some math snapshots of things they have learned in the past.
- Reflect on how they feel about learning math and why it is important.
-Name the famous mathematician (with self-checking riddle).
- Ask "I wonder" questions relating to math.
- Answer "Would you Rather?" math questions (This reveals a lot about your student's mathematical reasoning skills!)
For my followers and repeat buyers, please note that this is very similar to my What is Science? Back to School printable.
