This game is fantastic for developing team work and communication between peers, working on good descriptive vocabulary, and recognizing and describing different shapes and how they can fit together to create a new shape.
How Does it Work?
Students will work as a team to build the shape on the picture. Only the “seer” can see the picture and must describe what he/she sees to the “runner”. The “runner” must relay the message from the “seer” to the “builder” and the “builder” will take what the “runner” says and will use the clues to build the shape. The “artist” will draw the shape once it is complete, and submit the drawing to the “seer” who will then reveal the picture, determining if the team was successful in re-creating the shape.
What is Included?
-4 built shape pictures. Allowing for 4 rounds of “See, Run, Do”. You can either have each group working on their own picture, than switch with each other for future rounds, or you can have the whole class working off of the same picture at the same time.
-Job task description cards
-Printable Shape Manipulatives. You may use shape pattern blocks, but if you do not have any I have provided some print outs of them.
