This double-sided trifold is the the perfect way to show a child's mom how they can describe her using math terms and let her know just how much number sense they have!
Each page focuses on a different component of mathematical number sense:
Page 1- Adding up the number in mom's name and showing related facts. Adding 100 to that, too!
Page 2- Mom is a perfect 10! The students state why she is a perfect 10 and show that they know the sums to ten, how to count by tens, and how to count by tens from a given number.
Page 3- Mom's Age! Students show it in place value form, word form, ordinal form, and expanded form. They also write equations that equal her age
Page 4- 100 and Loving it! What will mom be like when she is 100? Then, kids figure out how much longer that is and look at her age in relation to the number 100.
Page 5- They create their own picture or design to finish it off.
It is purposely free from clip art and borders so that the child can put his/her own personal touches on it!
Not only is this a fabulous way to shower mom with mathematical love, but it shows her important mathematical terms that she can use with her child and what her child is learning in class.
