I initially created a set of index cards for my students to practice working with the mathematical properties that are used in our class, but decided to put them into a document that I could share.
It includes Associative Property of Addition and Multiplication, Commutative Property of Addition and Multiplication, Identity Property of Addition and Multiplication and Multiplicative Inverse Property of Multiplication.
Each property has a card labeled with the property, a brief student friendly vocab card, 3 examples with numbers and one example with variables.
Student can do as a review on their own.
You could do a whole class activity where everyone gets a card or two and they have to go to the correct area that has their property and justify with the others in their group whether or not they should be there.
The possibilities are really endless.
It's a simple review, practice or even to see what they know from a previous year.
