Looking for some quick fun to add to Pre-Algebra or even Algebra 1. Here's a PowerPoint review on basic topics covered in an 8th grade PreAlgebra class; it's great review as well for an incoming 9th grade class of Algebra 1 students. The file can be used as bellwork _post one daily or it can be used as a review tool for individual students or as a class activity and academic learning game. In my classes, students form 4-6 teams and then compete to see who can correctly answer the problem projected on the PowerPoint slide first. Students report in competing teams of one representative and rotate after every 3 questions. That ensures whole class engagement. It's loads of fun and learning! Students love competing to show who has learned the most. More than 100 slides are included to facilitate 45-50 minutes of high-energy, fun-filled review of basic pre-algebra concepts. If you run out of time, then you can pick up where you left off on another day. This document can be used by one teacher at one school.
