These mental maths games provide a fun way for your students to revise / reinforce subtraction facts to 20.
Each game can be played in pairs. In turn, each player throws a dice and subtracts that number from the allotted number for that game sheet (numbers from 10 to 20 have been used in this pack.) The player calculates / recalls the answer and, with his/her block or counter, covers a bubble with the correct printed number. (Each numeral appears at least twice – in digit and word form. Only one bubble is covered per turn.) If a player can’t cover a bubble because there are no bubbles left with that number, it is then the other player’s turn.
The winner is the player who covers the last bubble – no matter who has covered up the most bubbles.
For durability, these maths game sheets can be laminated or placed inside a plastic sleeve.
There is also a U.S. version.
