Great End of Unit Practice on Operations with Matrices. Task Cards really do work! They get the students engaged and keep them motivated to go through all of the problems, more so than a simple worksheet.
This activity is designed for PreCalculus or Algebra 2. It is an end of unit activity to reinforce the concepts of operations with matrices. It does not include solving simultaneous equations using Matrix Algebra. These are great as Task Cards or Station Cards.
Included topics are:
• Addition and Subtraction
• Linear Combinations
• Matrix multiplication
• Equal Matrices
• Applications with Collinearity and Triangle area (formulas given)
Included in this lesson:
☑ Two sets of 27 Task Cards,
one with QR and one without. For the QR codes, students do not need to be on the internet, but must have a device with the QR Reader app installed. A blank card is included so you can customize the set for your class.
☑ Master List of Questions for you which can also be used for an absent student
☑ Student recording sheet
☑ Answer keys
☑ Additional handout
with 12 questions and room for students to show work. This can be used as HW, Assessment, or enrichment.
