This dominos activity helps students practice multiplying matrices, calculating determinants, solving systems of equations, and more!
How Dominos Works: I usually have students "play" in pairs and require them to show all of their work, which they submit at the end of the activity. Prior to class, you will need to print out copies of the dominos. I recommend either printing them on cardstock or having them laminated so they will last for years to come. After they are printed, cut them out in 1x2 rectangles (like dominos!). After cutting them out, be sure to scramble them up before giving them to students. Students are to start with the card that says "START" and conclude with the card that says "The End." Students are to work the problem on the right side of the domino card and find the corresponding answer on the left side of another card. They then complete the problem on the right side of that card, looking for the solution on the life side of another, and so on. If they get all of the answers correct, they should use up all of the cards by reaching the end.
