Product Description

In this lab students break down objects and research what they are made of. The teacher guides the students through the worksheet as the see that everything can be broken down to substances, compounds, and eventually atoms. Students begin by answering probing questions to get them to start thinking what things are made of. They then choose an occupation which allows for differentiation of the lesson. Based on their occupation they receive an object that relates to their field. They break it down (students love breaking things) and research what it is made of. They then answer the lab questions and activities.
