Students can create a foldable comparing and contrasting photosynthesis and cellular respiration. an exit ticket is provided featuring a different diagram which can be used as a formative assessment to determine which connections students have made and which ones they are still working on. The last two pages are carbon and nitrogen cycle diagrams which can be used to create note pages in their interactive notebook. The idea is students are guided through the diagrams which are attached to their notebook creating a flap. Underneath the flap you would provide students with a simplified version of the diagram. The exit ticket for these days would be to have then describe the carbon and nitrogen cycles using their own words. For students who are on level you can provide the starting point while for AP/Pre-AP/K level students you can tell them to start in a spot of their choosing.
