This is an open-book essay exam for Maus Part II. Students choose from five options (2 pages each), and address both modern and WWII viewpoints, visual placement, and symbolism. Students attach prompt sheet to their essay. There is a rubric on the bottom that you can write on. Students will be scored on Grammar/Punctuation, Evidence, Analysis, and Organization. MLA formatting will be expected. Here is a sample choice:
• Address Artie shrinking
• The ethnicities of the reporters
• The obvious nature of the masks
Page numbers are based on the book with both Parts I and II (not the individual volumes).
