My April calendars were a hit with my conversation-level articulation kids last month. I followed suggestions from my clients and their families to bring you a brand new (and upgraded!) May 2018 calendar.
Included in this set are 3 versions of the calendar and a conversation-level prompt sheet to help the kids fill in the calendars with their own homework ideas.
The content description is as follows:
This calendar is completely filled in and can be given to conversation-level students as homework for the month. No filling out necessary- just print and go! It has ideas of general activites or things they may be doing each day where they could practice using their speech sounds. There are also some real and silly (but also real!) holidays with ideas for practicing speech.
This has the holiday ideas filled in, but the majority of the month is left blank for students (or you!) to fill in.
This calendar has the holiday titles, but no activities or suggestions are filled in. Some of my older kids really liked this freedom and enjoyed coming up with ideas for the weird holidays on the calendar.
PROMPTS FOR FILL-IN CALENDARS
I have included a sheet with conversation starters so that the child can have some guidance when coming up with ideas for their calendar. This is a great way to work on their conversation level articulation skills during the session. (My 8+ year olds had 40-minute, steady conversations while filling out their calendars!) The prompts are merely suggestions for starting conversations. You will probably need to ask some more “Who” “What” “Why” questions and expand based on each individual child.
