May Flowers Reinforce sight words, color words, main idea and details, and writing a response with this fun and engaging emergent reader! My "May Flowers" mini book practices the sight words look, this, at, my, will, I, it, with, pretty, find, and color words. I have included two levels of writing practice. For beginning writers, a traceable sentence starter is included. Students will draw a picture of a flower. More advanced writers will write a complete sentence to match their picture. I have also included a main idea and details graphic organizer. Given the main idea, students will draw and label the details to complete a lift the flap flower. *Please note that I have colored the pictures in the book in the thumbnail photo. All books are black and white.

Life Cycle of a Butterfly Reinforce sight words, butterfly vocabulary, non fiction text features, identifying facts, sequencing, and writing a response with this fun and engaging emergent reader! My "Life Cycle of a Butterfly" mini book uses simple text to describe the life cycle of a butterfly. In response, students will draw its life cycle. More advanced students will draw and label the life cycle. They will also recall a fact they learned. They will draw a picture and write a sentence to match. I have also included a full color sequencing puzzle. This can be laminated for repeated use.

Making Muffins Reinforce sight words, sorting, quotations, and writing a response with this fun and engaging emergent reader! My "Making Muffins" mini book practices the sight words said, good, I, will, and, in, the, and, can and tells how a mom and daughter make blueberry muffins together. In response, students will think of another type of muffin they can make. They will draw a picture and write a sentence to match. For students who need more support, there is an additional response page with a traceable sentence starter. They will also complete a cut and paste activity to sort ingredients and baking tools.
