May Homework for Early Readers No Prep
Young children who are EARLY READERS should be reading, but finding homework that fosters reading is a challenge. I want homework to be meaningful and content based, as well as review class lessons. There are TONS of homework packets that focus on phonic skills or letter recognition, but I want my students to actually practice READING at home!
My NEW monthly homework packets for EARLY READERS promote content based reading for young children! My newest packet is MAY HOMEWORK NO PREP! This product containsI instant READING HOMEWORK with comprehension questions that pertain to activities in MAY! At the top of each paper is a place for a parent’s signature and a box to write the number of times the child reads with/to the adult. The pictures are child-like making them easy to color.
The content and format varies to provide NOVELTY and encourage THINKING! MAY is filled with Seeds & Plants, Chicks & Eggs, Cinco de Mayo, May Day, and ANTS! There are 70 pages of READY to SEND HOME homework that will save you hours of prep time! Be sure to look at the preview to get an idea of the format.
These pages are also perfect for “morning work” if you prefer. Your students complete the pages in class and take them home to READ to mom or dad. Mom and dad send them back with a signature and the number of times read. Either way, children are reading and writing!
I am thrilled to receive feedback! Last month, a teacher left me the following comment: I have all of these homework packets. I LOVE these. My students are learning so much and they are enjoying it! I can’t wait for the next one.
There are 70 pages.
If you are interested in additional homework, take a look at my Homework for Early Readers. It includes 40 pages of homework/morning work. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Homework-for-Early-Readers-No-Prep-1858095
