### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This pack includes 8 math tubs with summer themes. Perfect for reviewing important math standards during the final days leading to summer!

Each center includes a recording sheet and an option for differentiation. Download the preview for a sample of what's included:

**Mermaid Match: Students will lay an equation puzzle piece in their playing area. They will then find the base ten puzzle piece that shows the two numbers they are adding. The third piece they lay down will show the answer and how 10 ones were traded for a ten. Encourage students to discuss what is happening as they put the puzzles together. To differentiate, use all puzzles or half to make their search easier. (Common Core: 1.NBT.4)

**Cool Off Comparisons: Students will share a work mat and place all cards face down in a pile. Each player will choose a card, and lay it on their spot on the mat. Students will find the sum for their card and then compare it with their partner’s number, using <, =, or >. The player with the largest number will keep both cards. The player with the most cards when all cards are gone is the winner. Differentiate by having students solve the equations mentally or using base ten blocks. (Common Core: 1.NBT.3 & 5)

**Summer Time: One student will be the caller and the other students will be the players. The caller will place all time cards face down. Players will take a game board and when the caller says a time, players will find the matching clock and cover it. When they have 3 in a row, they win and get to be the caller.

**Cool Down and Clip It!: Students will take a clip card and use a clothespin to clip the equation that equals the amount shown. To differentiate, students can do this as a fluency activity or use the provided ten frame. (Common Core: 1.OA.6)

**Memory Munch: Students will lay all cards face down in the playing area. Partners will take turns choosing 2 cards. They are searching for a watermelon card and a picnic basket card that are related. Example: 4 + 8 = 12 and 12 – 4 = 8 would be a match. The person who found the matches will keep them. The person with the most matches at the end is the winner!

**Counting Camp: Students will use the camp site picture to create a graph with 4 categories. They will then interact with the their graph using the task cards included. Differentiate by having students create their own task cards that go with the graph!

**Splish Splash Subtraction: Students will lay all cards face down in a pile. Each player will choose a card and solve mentally or using base ten blocks. The person with the greatest sum takes both cards. The person with the most cards when all cards are gone is the winner! (Common Core: 1.NBT.6)

**Farm Measuring: Students will sort animals. They will then order them from shortest to longest. After they have ordered each set of animals, they will use a measuring tool (cubes, links, etc.) to measure the longest animal in each set.
