We’re coming into the final stretch and things are getting more hectic in the month of May. I love how this set is able to give my students some extra practice on important skills while I’m able to finish up ‘morning tasks’. The kiddos love that they are able to work independently and show others and myself how much they have learned throughout the year.
-Book covered that can be copied on white construction paper and colored in by students
-Four weeks (four different pages that are labeled for the day) of language arts ‘warm-up’ work. Skills that are practiced include:
-‘rrrrrrr’ words (students create 3 different words relating to the control ‘r’ sound given.
-Sentence fixers! (students find and fix the spelling and writing errors)
-Rhyme time! (students circle pictures of the given word family.)
-CVC words! Students fill in the missing sound that relates to a picture that is shown
-Sorting and categories! Students circle all the pictures that relate to the category given.
-Pronouns & Proper Nouns (students circle the correct word)
-Four weeks (four different pages that are labeled for each day) of math ‘warm-up’ work. Skills that are practiced include:
-Counting on from a number other than 1
-Skip counting by 10’s, 5’s, and 2’s
-Addition & subtraction problems to 20
-Double digit addition & subtraction without regrouping
-Telling time to the nearest hour & ½ hour
-Number puzzles (1 more, 1 less, 10 more, 10 less)
-Odd & Even numbers
