This monthly activity is part of a package -
Morning Message for the Whole School Year
Save by purchasing the bundle!
Using an overhead projector, an ELMO projector, or a whiteboard, students can edit the letters written to the group by America, the classroom friend. These lessons teach common core curriculum for language arts, and much more. Your students will learn letter writing, editing, and one of the hardest of the six writing traits - voice. Students also learn about our country's symbols. This activity is geared toward students in the United States. It could be used to teach students in other countries about the United States. Children love to find out what America has to say each day as they read and correct his messages. Let the eagle make learning language arts a fun part of your day!
This unit contains a letter for each school day in May. It has stationery for the students to write a letter to the eagle. There is an instruction sheet with suggestions, and an answer key. There is even a booklet you can print for each student to work on individually.
Your students will LOVE this month long activity!
