A quick and fun way for students to practice finding both synonyms and antonyms of overused words! Use this in May or Spring to work on vocabulary skills, using a thesaurus, etc.
Students write a word (either given or self-generated) on one the leaves and then an antonym of that word on the other leaf. They then generate 5 synonyms for those words on the flowers' petals (6 if you use the inner circle too!)
Included is a second version that has students writing 2 overused words on the leaves and synonyms on the petals--no mention in the direction of antonyms.
Easy to differentiate; change the requirements for each student, give them a list of words to choose from, complete as a group, etc.
The PDF is 5 pages; the student worksheet is just 1 page long. Included are 2 different b/w versions of the student page.
This is included in my Monthly Synonym and Antonym Bundle.
