After students learn about the Maya, they are going to assume the role of an artisan. The king has ordered your students to create a new currency. The currency must reflect the values and daily life of the Maya. For example, students may include topics about religion, social structure, city-states, beauty, writing, ball courts and the three periods of Mayan history. Additionally, students will complete a two-page chart to learn about the U.S. dollar bill.
