Our textbook has an excerpt from the Mayflower Compact with the introduction, preamble, and Laws 1, 4, 5, and 7. I rewrote those sections in more understandable, modern-day English for my students in Jr. High special education. The activity is to use their primary source to put the rewritten sections in their proper order. This is a cut and paste activity or you could have students copy the pieces into the correct boxes. I find that activities like this really help the students to understand difficult, older primary sources.
