This maze is a good review of "The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra"
. Students are expected to be familiar with:
- Polynomial Functions (Definition)
- Finding the degree of a Polynomial Function (Check out this product at my store Maze - Classifying Polynomials
There are 19 questions where a different function is given (Polynomial functions as well as not polynomial functions). From start to end, the student will be able to answer 15 questions out of the 19 provided to get to the end of the maze. In some questions, when student is asked to apply the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, the student will have to choose "Not a Polynomial Function" as the function provided belongs to another family of functions. Additionally, students would need to pay attention to functions that are not written in standard form.
A "Concept Summary Sheet"
is provided in this file summarizing the important facts about the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra.
This maze could be used as:
a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, and more. After completing this activities, students would have a deeper understanding of "The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra".
This maze focuses only and only on "The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra".
Please follow me for more activities to come on Polynomial Functions and other theorems. Stay tuned.
