This activity is a good review of understanding how to "Finding Possible Roots of Polynomial Functions using Rational Root Theorem". There are 17 questions provided. From start to end, the student will be able to answer 15 questions out of the 17 provided to get to the end of the maze.
The polynomial functions are:
☑ Degree 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6
Students should feel comfortable with:
☑ Applying Rational Root Theorem
☑ Finding the Factors of the Constant
☑ Finding the Factors of the Leading Coefficient
☑ Reducing the quotient of these factors (need to reduce fractions)
☑ Identifying the total POSSIBLE Rational Roots
In this maze the focus is only POSSIBLE rational roots. Students will not be asked to determine which of these POSSIBLE root is an actual root. I use this maze when I first introduce Rational Root Theorem to help my students feel comfortable with identifying the POSSIBLE Roots.

These mazes will work very well with the first part of section 5.5 in Pearson Common Core Textbook and could be used as a homework.
This maze could be used as: a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, and more.
