✤ This maze is part of : Maze - BUNDLE Rational Functions ✤
✐ This product is a good review of "Solving Rational Expressions (LEVEL 1)"
as students must feel comfortable with:
☑ Factoring Techniques: (As students have to factor denominators first)
✐ ✐ ✐ Factor GCF
✐ ✐ ✐ Difference of Two Squares
✐ ✐ ✐ Factoring Trinomial where a
☑ Finding the LCD:
✐ ✐ ✐ In this level the LCD is the product of a Monomial by a Binomial or the product of 2 Binomials
☑ Combine Like Terms::
☑ Simplifying Rational Expressions:
✐ ✐ ✐ Feel comfortable simplifying/reducing the final answer
In Level 1 there will be no need to solve quadratic equations
There are 2 VERSIONS
in this Level:
☑ Version 1
: All questions have one real solution
☑ Version 2
: One question has No Solution
while another has a solution that is All Real Numbers Except the Excluded Values
Therefore, student must feel comfortable with how to find excluded values
✐ ✐ Both versions have the same exact set of questions except for 2 questions
✐ ✐ The first two questions in this maze are linear functions that require solving using LCD (My intention is to put my students at peace with LCD before I include variables in the denominators)
I intended for this maze to focus only and only on the above strategies. Some students may need this breakdown before moving to a more complex situation. Therefore, LEVEL 2
maze on solving rational expressions is available RIGHT HERE

My students truly were ENGAGED
answering this maze much better than the textbook problems. They wanted to complete it and get to the end. ✶ ✶ ✶
There are 15 questions provided. From start to end, the student will be able to answer 13
questions out of the 15 provided to get to the end of the maze.
This maze could be used as:
a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, and more.
