This maze is part of : Maze - BUNDLE Writing Linear Equations - Different Strategies

This activity is a good review and a good practice of "Writing Linear Equations in Slope-intercept form and Standard form given a point and the equation of the Perpendicular Line". There are 15 questions provided. From start to end, students will be able to factor out 13 questions of the 15 provided to get to the end of the maze.

This activity drills the understanding of so many different concepts when it comes to writing linear equations. The student will be asked to produce equations written in:

☑ Slope-Intercept Form
☑ Standard Form

What makes it interesting is the fact that the equation of the given perpendicular line is sometimes written in:

☒ Slope-Intercept Form, OR
☒ Standard Form

This will require students to fully utilize their understanding of strategies to "Extracting the slope" and to building the required form.

Students will need to know how to work with fractions as in some models the y-intercept maybe a fraction.

In this activity the lines may have different type of slopes:

↘ Negative Slope
↗ Positive Slope
→ Zero Slope, and
↑ Undefined Slope

A suggested STEP-BY-STEP ANSWER KEY is provided and could be used with a sub while out. Additionally, I've attached a blank answer form if you wish to utilize it. Students will show the answers (and necessary work) to the questions of their path to the end. In this case, they will show work for the 13 questions they would have to do and would be on their path.

This maze could be used as: a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, and more.
