**As of the 2016-2017 school year, my district no longer uses this math series, therefore I will not be updating these lesson plans anymore. ** I apologize if you have any questions that I can't answer. ****
This product correlates with the McGraw-Hill My Math Common Core State Standards Math series Volume 1 and Volume 2. This Math Series was copyrighted in 2013. If you use this math series, these Math SAS Lesson Plans will be a great help to you.
My team of teachers and I spent time with a curriculum specialist in Math and Common Core Standards. We sequenced this Math Series so that the alignment of the material that is being taught would make better since and flow together better. These lesson plans are detailed SAS lesson plans that are broken down into units. These lesson plans detail online materials, videos, and projects that you can use that go along with the My Math Learning Series. These lesson plans do not follow the same sequence as the My Math series book follows. These lesson plans jump around through the My Math Series Volume and Volume 2 book in order to help students better grasp the concepts required by the Common Core State Standards.
All of the units have been mapped out and standards are listed for each unit. These SAS Lesson Plans are for the following units:
Unit 3: Developing Strategies for addition and subtraction
--This unit is divided into 3 parts because it covers so many lessons. This unit has 30 days of lesson plans in order to cover this standard.
Unit 4: Understanding Unit Fractions
This unit has 8 days of lesson plans in order to cover this standard.
Unit 5: Using fractions in measurement and data
This unit has 4 days of lesson plans in order to cover this standard.
These lesson plans are very detailed and sometimes require more than one day to teach the lesson fully. I have units 1-2 and 6-15 also for sale in my store!
***I also have a simple chart for sale in my store. This is just a basic chart showing which chapters correlate to each standard. This chart is intended to help you follow the sequence that will help your students fully understand and cover all the content that is required by the common core state standards. ****
