This is a power point that correlate with the McGraw Hill Wonders story from Unit 3, Week 5 - "Machu Picchu: Ancient City". I have created a power point that reviews the purpose and features of informational text: persuasive articles. It correlates with the passage found in the textbook "What was the Purpose of the Inca's strange strings?". It requires students to complete a close read after reviewing the components of a persuasive article. A set of questions have also been included on the last slide of the power point. This could be printed off and given to the students to complete as they perform their close read. Then you could use the slide on the power point to guide a discussion about the students' findings. This is a great teaching tool to utilize with your students!
I have included a PPT version and a PDF version just in case the fonts didn't match up and you couldn't correct the spacing etc. in the download. Let me know if this doesn't work for you and I'll be happy to fix any issues you might have. You can email me at email@example.com THANKS!
I have other activities that correlate with this story. It is part of a larger activity bundle that includes many activities to complete your weekly lesson plans. Please check them out and remember to leave feedback to earn your TPT credits! Thank you for considering my products.
I would like to that CREATIVE CLIPS for the use of their graphics on this product.
