This is a vocabulary organizer that aligns with the McGraw Hill Wonders Reading Series. This vocabulary organizer correlates with the reading story from Unit 6, Week 4, "Planting the Trees of Kenya".
This vocabulary organizer includes the definition of the words, a place for students to create their own definition, a section to draw a picture to represent the word, and a sentence from the text using the term. This will help students solidify the term's meaning by using context clues. Each of these activities are aligned with Marzano's vocabulary instructional strategies.
The vocabulary organizer has been created to allow you to display it and complete it with the entire class. I do this weekly with my vocabulary organizer as I am introducing the words. It is a great way to keep all of my students engaged and participating while we fill in our organizer.
