This is a set of questions that correlate with the McGraw Hill Wonders Reading Series, "The Boy Who Drew Birds". I have created a set of questions that go along with the passage on George Washington Carver found on workbook pages 73 and 74. The questions I have created require students to look back in the text to find their answers. I encourage my students to highlight the portion of the passage that helps them find their answer. I believe this is a great way to prepare students to take standardized tests as well as form a habit of "proving"their answers by finding text support. This is a skill that students MUST conquer in order to be successful with the new common core standards.
I have several other activities that correlate with this story. Please take a look and see if anything interests you. Thank you for considering my products. Please leave feedback if you enjoy using them in your classroom and to receive your TPT credits. THANKS!
