This is a set of questions that correlate with the McGraw Hill Wonders Reading Series, "You are my Music". I have created a set of questions that go along with the poems "You are my Music" and "You and I". The questions I have created require students to look back in the text to find their answers. Students will be questioned on a variety of comprehension skills including the type of poem, number of stanzas, point of view, and rhyme patterns to name a few. I believe this is a great way to prepare students to take standardized tests as well as form a habit of "proving" their answers by finding text support. This is a skill that students MUST conquer in order to be successful with the new common core standards.
I have several other activities that correlate with this story including a lesson plan bundle that has all of the resources I have created for this week's poems. Please take a look and see if anything interests you. Thank you for considering my products. Please leave feedback if you enjoy using them in your classroom and to receive your TPT credits. THANKS!
