Product Description
One of the most effective ways to increase student engagement and cognitive ability is to connect content to students' lives. In "Me? An Immigrant?" students have the opportunity to connect the experiences of immigrants to their own lives. If your students could move anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why? Students will explore the push and pull factors that compel immigrants to migrate. Then, students will face a dilemma. If they were moving across the world, and could only take what they could carry (five things), what would those five items be? This assignment works well with middle school students, and can be modified for secondary education courses.
