This activity takes the sometimes boring "All About Me" activities by enhancing the content. This will leave your students excited to show others about their maps (and lives)! Who doesn't love maps? Maps of cities, maps of classrooms, maps of your lives?! Now THAT is cool.
Students will be able to answer questions about themselves and create a map with cities and a legend. This product consists of a PowerPoint presentation with thorough instructions for teachers and students. It also includes a rubric that can be scored as a writing grade.
Students answer questions like "what is your favorite food?" and turn them into cities on their map: Tacoville. There are several components to this map: legend, compass, shape of map. Once again, there is an attached rubric that can be given out with project/ activity.
