Pg. 18-20 Conjunction Chains – cut out the strips of paper – write two sentences that go together on two of the strips -use a conjunction strip to join the two sentences – glue them into a chain – make complex and compound sentences –see example on how to put them together –this activity is for the 2012 version
Pg. 21-26 Understanding Characters “James” – copy the patterns onto the appropriate colored construction paper – put together as seen in the example – add the eyes and draw the nose, mouth, and eyebrows – glue the head on top of the hair so that just a little bit of the hair is showing – complete the writing
