Get students to describe themselves, in Spanish, using this fun Coat of Arms activity. Students will design a coat of arms that represents them as individuals and write a word in Spanish for each category. This activity can also be used as an oral grade as students are encouraged to share their coat of arms outloud, describing themselves and what represents them (activities, relationships, likes, etc...) in Spanish.
This is a great beginning of the year activity for students or to use when practicing ser + descriptive adjectives and gustar. It is also a helpful way to introduce culture and the concept of an individual, family, or state coat of arms.
My students love designing their coat of arms and seeing it displayed in the classroom!
