I've given this packet a facelift, and added more vocabulary cards, including one for each of the 50 states.
UPDATED - 2/2/2014!
This entire packet has been remade! I have adjusted the page sizes so they fit together better as a flip book. I have updated the clip art and fonts, and some pages have different styles to choose from.
This activity is based on the book, Me on the Map, by Joan Sweeney. This idea is not original. I saw it on the web, and decided to put my own spin on it to do with my class.
Included you will find everything you need to make a flip book, as well as vocabulary words to put on your word wall.
I have included 2 different cover pages for you to choose from. The cover page is 8”x7”. To make a back cover, simply take a blank sheet of construction paper (or white paper if you prefer), cut it to 8”x7”, and staple the rest of the pages to it.
On the “Me” page, I have pages with 2 different boys and 2 different girls. You can use these or have your students draw a picture of themselves on the blank “Me” pages.
I have also included pages for each of the 50 states in alphabetical order.
You also have a choice of 2 different “World” pages.
