This is a delightful book that young children can hear or read by themselves. Students learn how adults can be impacted by their childhood. Jane Goodall loved nature and she took her stuffed chimpanzee everywhere! Through reading further, at the end of the book, and/or by doing research, students can find out the "difference" Jane Goodall has made on the world. Students will also be asked to choose some children's projects they might be interested in engaging in, and they will interview the principal of the school to find out the programs the school has to encourage children to make a "difference" in the environment, in people, or animals.
