Mealtime Prayer Songs

Do you need a new TABLE BLESSING for your home, school, or church?

I’m sharing three I use all the time.

• The first is “Thank you God,” which is a traditional tune with some words I changed. It’s quite easy to harmonize with but I wrote out a 4-part version in case you’d like that. “Thank you God” is sung in homes, as well as in Christian schools and churches around the world.

• “Thanksgiving Day is Here” is a song I wrote to recognize the 400th Anniversary of the First Thanksgiving in 2021. The theme is gratitude, hope, and love with family and neighbors. It’s used by members of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, at family Thanksgiving tables, and in schools. It's an easy song to sing.

• The final piece is a breakfast prayer with a traditional tune sung to Psalm 118:24: This is the day that the Lord has made! Using octaves, it's a bit more difficult to sing than the two others but is quite uplifting.
